Design & Build Quality

The camera retains the signature Polaroid aesthetic—chunky, retro, and colorful. It’s larger than some digital cameras but still feels sturdy and well-made, with a distinct charm for those who love vintage designs. The rounded edges and compact form make it easy to hold, although it may not fit easily into smaller bags. The mix of plastic and matte finishes feels durable, giving the camera a fun yet reliable build.

Ease of Use:

The Polaroid Now+ is a relatively simple camera to use, ideal for casual users or beginners who want a point-and-shoot experience. The automatic focus, exposure, and flash settings make it easy to get good shots without fiddling too much with settings. For those wanting more control, the companion app is where this camera shines, offering a range of creative features.

Small Format Instant Prints: The Polaroid Go uses Polaroid Go film, which produces square prints that are about half the size of traditional Polaroid photos. The film size (66.6mm x 53.9mm) is much smaller than the classic Polaroid format, making the prints cute and compact, perfect for scrapbooking, journaling, or sharing with friends.

Performance

The Now+ delivers vibrant, classic Polaroid shots, with the characteristic color saturation and slight softness that many users find charming. However, as with any Polaroid camera, lighting is key. In lower light conditions, even with the flash, photos can sometimes appear darker or grainier. Outdoors and in well-lit environments, the photos generally turn out crisp, with rich colors and soft vintage tones.

  • Classic design with modern features

  • Bluetooth connectivity for app control

  • Manual controls for advanced users

  • Autofocus for sharper images

  • Physical lens filters for creative shots

  • Rechargeable battery

Verdict

The Polaroid Now+ strikes a great balance between maintaining the nostalgic charm of instant photography and offering enough modern features to keep it versatile and fun. Whether you’re a casual user looking for a simple instant camera or a creative looking to experiment with manual controls and filters, this camera delivers. The high cost of film might deter some, but for fans of analog photography, the Polaroid Now+ is a delightful, feature-packed camera that brings a timeless experience into the digital age.

Film:

As expected, the cost of Polaroid’s proprietary film can add up, especially if you’re shooting frequently. It uses the classic i-Type film or 600 film, and while the price of each photo isn’t cheap, the instant gratification and tangible result are a big part of the Polaroid appeal. Film packs include eight exposures, and while it may be costly, it's an irreplaceable aspect of the Polaroid experience

Battery Life

The rechargeable battery is another convenient upgrade from older models. It lasts for a good number of shots (around 15-20 packs of film per charge), making it perfect for a day out or extended use. However, it would be nice to have a way to check the battery level more easily.
